The Newsletter Process
Step 1. Draft Newsletters
- Written internally
- Reviewed for grammar, spelling, and readability
- Have at least 3 newsletters ready at any given time
Step 2. Add New Names
- Administrative assistant sends marketing team new names with emails to add to the newsletter contact list
- The Tuesday prior to each newsletter distribution (Thursdays biweekly)
Step 3. Newsletter Built in Active Campaign
- Marketing team puts the newsletter in Active Campaign
- Formatted and designed
- Formatted and designed
Step 4. Final Newsletter Approval

During off week
Step 5. Check newsletter@ email
- Tuesday following newsletter send
- Admin checks the newsletter@ email for responses
- Draft response or action item (playlist, data collection, LinkedIn post, response to person)
Step 6. Opens/Unsubscribes
- Marketing sends all opens and unsubscribes to DORIS
- Unsubscribes are noted in Black Box 1.1

Responses are saved to Newsletter Doc

Opens/clicks are saved to the Newlsetter Opens + Clicks sheet
Step 7. Sales Activity
- Link to people who actively open newsletter on LinkedIn
- KA to do this for MT and SJ
- Get coffee with people who respond
- Use the list for reach outs
- Identify who will reach out
- Identify when the contact has been transferred to the Black Box for reach outs
- Update the opens/clicks list when the reach out is completed
