Create schedules for the new hire’s first two weeks.

Purpose

Provide structure for the onboarding period.

  • The new hire’s Google calendar has been created.

Note: New hires are expected to come into the office every day for their first two weeks. Communicate with the team to ensure that there are no days when the new hire will be alone in the office for the entire day.
Directions
  1. Invite the new hire to standing meetings:

    1. Standup

    2. L10s (as appropriate)

    3. Ops Project Check-in (if appropriate)

    4. Staff Meetings

    5. Holidays

  2. Create the following meetings for the new hire’s first day:

    1. Lunch with the team (1 hour)

  • All who are present on the start date

  • Make an effort for everyone to take a break from working to eat together

  • Admin orientation with Office Manager (45 min)

  • Tech orientation with Lead Project Strategist (45 min)

  • EOD check-in with Operations Manager/Supervisor (30 min)

  • Create the following meetings for the remainder of the first week:

    1. 1 hour each day for DORIS process training

    • 30 minutes with a member of the ops team (confirm who is available with Ops Manager)

    • 30 minutes of individual study

  • 1:1s with every DORIS employee (30 min)

  • Introduction to EOS with Supervisor (30 min)

  • Introduction to Worksmart with Supervisor (30 min)

  • End of week check-in with Ops Manager (30 min)

  • Daily check-ins on tasks (role-dependent)

  • 1:1 with owner(s) (45 min)

  • Create the following meetings for week two:

    1. Daily welcome with team members (15 min)

    • Note: This conversation is relational; no agenda is needed. 

  • End of Week 2 check-in with Owner(s) (45 min)

  • End of Week 2 check-in with Ops manager (30 min)

  • Invite the new hire to existing external meetings over the two weeks of onboarding.

    • Confirm which meetings with Supervisor and/or Owner(s)
