04 Usability Study Announcement (if needed)

Trigger: Thursday before usability study starts

From: DORIS Research
Subject:
Researcher onsite starting next week
Recipients: Everyone / People in the spaces being studied

Hi,

You may notice a DORIS researcher in the building date to date. She/they(RA names) will be observing workspaces by collecting occupancy and behavioral data on her phone.

    DORIS will never report back on a single individual’s behavior. We observe;
    how many people are in each location (conference rooms, workstations, breakrooms),
    The the tools/tech in use (whiteboard, laptop, etc.),
    and what activity (in a meeting, focusing, talking on the phone, eating).

    Basically, they are marking if workspaces, meeting rooms, phone booths, etc., are occupied and, if so, how they're being used (e.g., a meeting, individual work, what tech is being used).

    WeA thenreally combineimportant detail about the usability study is that DORIS will never report back on a single individual's behavior. DORIS combines all the data to see a high-level view of utilization and what activities are happening in the space.

    What should you do?

    • Carry on as usual, there’s no need to time your break or change your behavior.
