Paragraph Spacing

Several terms describe space between and around text (leading, kerning, and tracking). The DORIS paragraph and character styles account for all of them. Usually, using the paragraph style built into the document template will accommodate spacing.

Basic Content is the most commonly used paragraph style.

When pasting text from a Google Doc into an InDesign template, often, there will be an extra empty line between each paragraph. The easiest way to remove these is by using Edit > Find/Change. Use the built-in query called Remove Trailing Whitespace, which can be found in the dropdown arrow at the top of the box.
