Visualization of the Project Launch phase of the DORIS process

Our process is separated into phases, elements, steps, and tasks.Visualization of the Project Launch phase of the DORIS process

Phases

The DORIS process contains seven steps:

1:: Project Launch

2 :: Project Orientation

3 :: Challenge Seeking

4 :: Challenge Defining

5 :: Solution Seeking

6 :: Solution Defining

7 :: Project Conclusion

Elements

Elements make up the phases. Elements include activities like meetings and data collection and deliverables like the Project Basics document. Each phase has unique elements.

Steps

Within each element, a cycle of steps is used to organize tasks. These steps always occur in the same order and must be taken consecutively. However, not every element will include tasks in all four steps. In these definitions, assume "the thing" refers to the element (meeting, deliverable, etc.)

1. Define

Establish the strategy for the thing.

2. Develop

Prepare all the stuff you will need to be able to do the thing.

3. Deploy + Debug

Do the thing and monitor processes for quality assurance.

4. Done

Finish the thing so you can move on to the next thing.

Tasks

Finally, within each step, there are tasks. Each task is a piece of work to be done or undertaken.
