Brief the DORIS team on the new hire’s role in each external meeting

Purpose

Ensure that everyone is comfortable when going into external meetings. Make DORIS look good in front of clients and partners.

Interdependencies

  • The new hire’s supervisor has determined which meeting(s) the new employee will attend. 

Directions
  1. Schedule a meeting with the Operations Manager (or the new hire’s supervisor) to review all upcoming meetings.

  2. Check that the meeting invite(s) is/are on the new hire’s calendar.

  3. Via Slack, email, or Standup, alert the BD/Ops representative(s) who are attending the meeting that the new employee will join.

  4. Work with the BD/Ops representative(s) to establish:

  • What new hire’s role will be in the engagement

  • How the new hire will be introduced to the client/external participant(s)

  • Include role and introduction information in the meeting’s agenda.

  • Brief the new hire on:

    • Why they are going

    • What they should wear

    • How they should behave

  • Determine if transportation or other logistics coordination is needed, and bring the new hire into those conversations as needed.
