Create materials for RA orientation
Purpose
For each project, a usability orientation presentation and packet are created. These materials give RAs an overview of who DORIS is, the organization being studied, what is expected of them onsite, what a usability study is, and how to use Vantage Space.
Responsible Party
Data Analyst or Ops Manager
Interdependencies
RA contractors have been hired and/or DORIS corporate employees have been informed they are doing the usability study.
Directions
- Make a copy of the Usability RA Training Summary template located in the shared drive/Templates/Research Project/3 - Challenge Seeking/Usability.
- Rename it [Client] Usability Training Summary and save it to the client folder/3 - Challenge Seeking/Usability.
- Check to make sure the top headers as the correct client name, and that the blurb below is accurate to the study.
- On-site Expectations, Observation Guidelines, Activity Selection Clarifications, Technology Tags, and Reminders will all stay the same.
- Print out blank sheets with lines that can be found on page 9 of the RA Usability Orientation - New RA training linked below.
Note
In general, we prefer experienced RAs who are familiar with DORIS, understand our values, and are reliable. If we need to hire an RA through a temp agency, we would need to conduct a more formal training and take them through the RA Usability Orientation virtually. We would then provide the Usability RA training Summary for the on-site training.
