Conduct Interviews - Virtually

Purpose

To collect qualitative and quantitative data. Virtual interviews are the standard method at DORIS. These interviews should take up to 30 minutes and are scheduled back to back. A typical shift could have up to 10 interviews with two scheduled breaks built in.

Everyone assigned to interviewing + contractor interviewers

Interdependencies

Interview dates have been scheduled and confirmed + participants have signed up for a slot. 

Directions

Before Interview:

  1. Open the Interviewer Packet and Master list
  2. Log into Zoom account (as stated on the master list)
  3. Ensure links are working and communicate to DORIS lead if they are not 
  4. Open the Zoom meeting for scheduled participant and open the qualtrics link (their personal link)
  5. Arrive for the call a few minutes early

During the Interview:

  • Smile, be friendly
  • Follow the qualtrics protocol
  • Prompt naturally.

After Interview:

  • Make sure you SAVE the survey by clicking the last arrow. You will know it is saved when you get the message, "thank you, your response has been recorded." It is now safe to close the tab.
  • Track the completion of the interview by selecting the checkbox next to the participant name on the Participant list
    • If the interview was a NO SHOW, highlight the check box cell and make it bright red.

End of Day Checklist:

    • Check for any surveys with un-recorded responses. 
    • Update the Master list with all new information from the day
      • Completed interviews
      • No Shows
    • Communicate any weirdness to the Project Lead
