Editing Survey Content

Purpose

To ensure the survey is error-free and the display logic works correctly (if applicable)

Interdependencies

  • The survey has been programmed into Qualtrics. 
Directions
  1. The standard intro text, questions, and descriptions are already in this project. If the Project Strategist did not have any edits on the protocol, Preview (top right corner of page) the survey to ensure there are no errors, and then click Publish. 
  2. To edit existing text, simply click the text + copy/paste or type in the edits. 
  3. To delete a question, hover over the question box and click the red minus symbol that will appear on the left side of the question. 
  4.  To add a slider question, it is easiest to click on the 3 dot menu on the top right of an existing question, and choose Copy. 
    a. replace the Q# with a brief description of the question ex) I-collab-class 
    b. replace the text with the new question 
    c. Note: if there is an importance/performance question, be sure to add both new questions in their respective survey sections. 
  5. To create a new question without copying an existing one, hover over an existing question and click the blue circle with a + sign to add a new question either below or above it. 
    a. replace the Q# with a brief description of the question ex)  P-class-storage. 
    b. on the left menu, choose the correct question format (from the Protocol sheet)  
    c. add the question text and response choices [repeat until the Qualtrics survey content matches the protocol] 
  6. Proofread the question content for order, completeness, grammar, etc. 
  7. Click the Preview button on the top right to view it as a participant, proofread, and edit as needed. 
  8. Once edited, click Publish to make the survey live.
